Changes to the Appointment System

We are trialing changes to our appointment system.

You will now be able to book appointments with a GP up to 4 weeks in advance.

One third of GP appointments will become available to book 4 weeks in advance.

One third of GP appointments will become available to book 2 weeks in advance.

One third of GP appointments will become available to book on the day.

Appointments become available to book at 7.00am online or 8.00am via the telephone.

We will always have an “On Call GP” daily – This GP deals with the urgent on the day matters, it is important that if you feel you have a medical matter that needs urgent attention that you inform the receptionist of this at the time of booking an appointment; even if all of the regular book on the day appointments have been used the GP On Call can triage your problem and offer an urgent appointment if appropriate. These appointments are booked by the On Call GP only and are not available online.

GPs also have telephone appointments available, if you feel you can discuss your problem over the phone and the GP will not need to examine you, you can request a telephone appointment. These appointments can be beneficial for follow up after seeing the GP previously.

If you have any questions about our appointment system please call and speak to one of our Receptionist.

Please note this is a trial change to our appointment system.
