The patient participation group at Bournbrook Varsity Medical Centre was set up in 2011 to understand the views of patients in respect to the services that the practice offers.  The group considers many aspects from access to the services, to local health needs, to the impact and effect that NHS changes has on the practice.

It is a membership group that encourages involvement and attendance from all areas of the practice community and we meet on a quarterly basis.  We actively  seek membership to this group by promoting forthcoming meetings and every new patient is asked if they would like to become a member when they complete the registration forms.

In particular we are currently looking for representation from members of our student population and patients who provide care to others.  If you do wish to join this group please complete a sign up form at Reception.

We are working on developing a Virtual PPG and all new patients will be asked to join up to this group, where we will ask for feedback via a survey no more than twice a year – via email or text message.  If you do wish to join this group please complete a sign up form at Reception.

Our PPG also supports us by helping out during flu season to offer refreshments and support our local St Mary’s Hospice through the collection of donations from raffles and book/cake sales.  They also come in to administer surveys to patients in the waiting area and encourage sign up to our PPG.
